Browser Support

This site is designed to be standards compliant. As such you are strongly encouraged to use a modern web browser, including one of the following: Firefox 3.5 or later, Safari 4 or later, Internet Explorer 8 or later. Some of the features of this site may not function as expected on older browser software. In particular we discourage use of Internet Explorer version 6 due to its numerous flaws.

A Note About Mapping

The maps on the site utilise the Google Maps service, and are automatically generated from the location information provided for each shop. Consequently where the location information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, the position of the marker on the map is also likely to be inaccurate. Location information and the map amrker may be independently edited by editing the relvant shop profile. In some cases we have noted that that despite the fact that the location information provided is correct and complete, the map marker remains inaccurate. In most of these cases we have indendently checked the correct marker location and over-ridden the automatically positioned marker. If you spot a map marker which is inaccurately positioned you can correct this yourself by following the instructions below:

  1. Edit the relevant shop profile page by clicking on the edit tab (you need to be logged in to the site and have appropriate access privileges in order to see the edit tab).
  2. On the edit screen scroll down to see the address information and map. Based on what you see there you can make a change in one or more of the following ways:
  • If the address information given is incorrect, and the only marker you can see on the map dislayed on the edit screen is a small grey marker,  please correct the address information by simply editing the available fields. Save the page to submit your changes. The marker on the map should have moved to reflect your changes.
  • If the address information is incorrect and you can also see a red marker on the map displayed on the edit screen, this menas that the default marker has already been over-ridden. In order to change the position of the marker you need to first delete the current location data by checking the tickbox entitled "delete this location'. Save the page, then re-edit and enter new address/location information, then save the page again. The map should now show a new marker based on the new information you have submitted.
  • If the address information shown is correct, but the marker is inaccurately placed, edit the page. If you see a red marker on the map displayed on the edit screen, you can move this marker to the correct location simply by dragging it. If there is no red marker you can create one by single-clicking on the map in the correct place (don't worry if it is not totally accurate as once the red marker is created you can then drag it to the right spot). Save the page to submit your changes.
