Ashton Hayes and Mouldsworth Community Shop is Now Open!

Ashton Hayes in Cheshire is celebrating the opening of their new community-owned shop. After months of hard work they opened their doors to customers earlier this year. Ashton Hayes also aims to be the first carbon neutral village in England and was determined not to lose it's shop and say good bye to local shopping.  The community rallied together to save its shop and continue to provide a valuable service to its residents.

Committee member, Kate Harrison said “We will be working with local suppliers to offer top-quality produce – one of the main requests from the community. Having a well-stocked shop will help to lower our carbon footprint and contribute to our village’s carbon neutral aims.”
