Birthday Celebrations in Ryburgh

Ryburgh village in Norfolk has been celebrating a successful first year of trading for its community-owned shop. Residents turned out to toast the shop's birthday with cake and champagne giving people the opportunity to reflect on the positive impacts having a community shop has brought to the village. Ryburgh Shop project has become a success through pulling together all the skills and knowledge of villagers themselves - and always welcoming customers with a friendly face!

Ryburgh Shop understands the importance of providing the local community with the goods and services they want, as well as endeavouring to stock a range of local produce to strengthen local networks (including a range of 40 Norfolk beers made from the malt produced right next door!). With an average of a transaction every two and a half minutes, Ryburgh is undoubtedly providing a much needed community hub and valued service.

As well as a shop, there is a cafe, internet connection and even a transport service to and from customer's doors!
