Multideck Chiller efficiency
Does anyone have any data on the comparative power consumptions / efficiencies of Multideck chillers compared to chiller cabinets with doors? Have found it difficult to find technical specifications of chillers on the web!
I have been very disappointed that so few manufacturers or suppliers give any energy efficiency information. We expect and get it as householders - why not as business operators?
I found one company www.ver.co.uk who do give some info expressed as "energy consumption/heat rejection kWh/24hrs". When you use this data together with the stated cubic capacities and shelf-depths it enables some (rough?) comparisons to be made on relative efficiencies.
When I first looked (about 2 months ago) it was possible to download the information referring to open fronted and glass doored chillers all on one page to make the comparison easier. It looks as though you now have to subscribe to their site (ie sign up for marketing emails) to download the brochure. However, you can still access info for individual models without doing this. The models to look at are:
Kingston, Cambridge, Poplar, Verwood and Richmond.
