Bradwell on Sea Community Shop
Bradwell On Sea Community Shop is now up and running. To find out more why not visit their website at http://bradwell-on-sea.org/shop.htm.
The following information has been taken from the Bradwell on Sea Community Shop website
It is good to see the shelves full and customers coming in, buying a few things and having a bit of a gossip as well. Just what a village shop should be, except that this one is entirely financed by the local community (over £5000 was raised) and run by a small team of keen volunteers assisting a part-time paid manager.
We have managed to stock even more that was expected, for example we have a lot of local produce
- Bread daily from the Mayland Bakery
- Meat from Maravac of Burnham
- Daily newspapers
- Fresh fruit and veg (in season)
Plus of course the usual frozen, chilled and tinned goods.
Also available are free-range Tillingham eggs, and also Bulls eggs from Bradwell (and jams/chutneys) on a Weds afternoon only, because Dave & Ruth Bull are two of our volunteers.
There has been a vast amount of effort put in by a small team of volunteers, who deserve a lot of credit for the way that they have stuck to the task.
